How to DIY Your Own Bookshelf Dragon Eggs in 5 Easy Steps
// Supplies List //
- Flat head thumbtacks (they make them in both gold and silver, gold is my favorite)
- Styrofoam egg(s): I used 3.15” (for a 3.15” one pack of thumbtacks did about 1 1/3 eggs)
- Super glue

Step 1:
- Start at the top of the egg place one thumbtack at the very top to start it off
Step 2:
- Add a ring of thumbtacks around the first one, overlapping slightly. You want the next row of thumbtacks to hold the previous row in place. Continue until you get close to the bottom (about 1-2 rows away).
Step 3:
- Put one thumbtack at the very bottom like we did on the top.
Step 4:
- Add the following rows until you reach start to overlap with the other rows we already did.
Step 5:
- Super glue any thumbtacks that are on the top / don’t have other thumbtacks holding them in. If you don’t these will fall out with slight movement. Give your egg a lil squeeze to make sure everything is all the way in.
Viola! You have yourself some fun dragon eggs for your bookshelf (or in my case, product photos since that mostly what I use mine for lol)
