Comparing Custom Sticker Manufactures

Comparing Custom Sticker Manufactures

I have tried many different sticker manufacturers since I started selling stickers in my shop and I still try new ones as I find them regularly (and I will update this as I do!). My favorite is by far Stickerblitz!

Sticker Blitz

Stickerblitz is by far my favorite sticker company to use and they have manufactured basically all of my stickers for the last year and a half. I rarely have had issues with anything and when something has come up they are so quick to set things right. They are at the top of all the categories that I’m ranking these companies on.

Cost: 10/10 - They have the best pricing of any sticker company I have used so far. I also love that they have a sample option that’s only $9 for 15 stickers to test colors/ size / legibility before placing a larger order or to order just a few for designs that don’t sell frequently. This option allows me to keep those non-quite-as-popular stickers in my shop. They also keep the pricing consistent through different sticker types (solid/ clear/ holographic) which makes it easy to keep my own pricing scale consistent between stickers.

Quality: 10/10- Tip top quality. They are a thick vinyl sticker with clear colors and text. They come off easily too.

Speed: They almost always ship next day and have free shipping with all orders. The only times orders take a little longer is when there are holographic stickers or sticker sheets in the order. But even then it’s only a day or two.

Ease to order: 10/10- The website used to be a little tricky to navigate but they have made so many improvements lately that I’m sure a tech-illiterate relative could even go through with ease. You click the giant “create sticker” button at the top, enter your quantity and dimensions then add to cart. You’ll get a proof sent back in just a couple of hours that automatically approves if you don’t go in and request changes.

Other Comments:  They are adding magnets and greeting cards to their offerings, and I am so stoked for that.

Sticker Mule

Cost: 6/10- Not the most expensive out there but definitely not the least expensive. They do weekly deals that are heavily discounted which is nice. You have to order exceedingly large quantities to see them get cheaper than comparable quality alternatives and they never really get less expensive than stickerblitz.

Quality: 10/10- they are the same quality as stickerblitz stickers. Thick entirely waterproof and dishwasher safe vinyl and they come off super easy.

Speed: 5/10- It takes about 2-2.5 weeks to get your stickers even for a small order. A larger order could take several weeks. The slowness is a major downside in my book. If a video pops off and I sell out quickly of a sticker I don’t want to have to tell my customers that they have to wait 2-3 weeks to order. Most of those people wouldn’t come back after that time frame so I would just be out the sales.

Ease to order: 10/10 – sticker mule has a super user friendly interface. They make it simple to try out their offerings with inexpensive samples and make that sample ordering process as simple as possible.

Other comments: They also have great weekly deals where you can get a different item each week heavily discounted. It’s a great way to try a new product type without a large upfront investment. BUT sticker mule has been wrapped up in several political controversies with the CEO supporting the Jan 6th insurrection, and allegations of underpaying workers. They are the personal views of the CEO as there are no confirmed instances of the company itself donating to political campaigns and the company has paid all due wages since the wage issue came to light (and a lawsuit) but those are important notes. I avoid using them for those reasons, but I do get some of my custom bubble mailers from them since they only take 3-4 weeks for those and everywhere else I have found is either quadruple the price, takes multiple months, or both.

Sticker App

Cost: 6/10, cheaper than some other options but def not ones that are comparable quality.

Quality: 2/10, I only ordered from them once and I would say it was an overall bad experience. The stickers I ordered to try them out all came out blurry. The sticker itself was paper thin and really shinny. When I reached out to get them reprinted they took forever to get back to me and when they did they said they would reprint them but never did. So while they might be less expensive, order at your own risk.

Speed: It took almost 2 weeks to get my stickers, then never for my replacements.

Ease to order:  7/10 the website is fairly intuitive but certain parts make it tricky to use.

Sticker Giant

Cost: 4/10 – it cost me $26 to order 10 stickers of 1 design. The cheapest shipping option for those 10 stickers was $8. It obviously gets less expensive per sticker as you go but you would have to buy more than 250 of one design to get it down to the cost per sticker as a stickerblitz sample pack and they stay consistently more expensive at each price break.

Quality: TBD

Speed: 6/10; 2-4 business day printing time plus the mandatory 2 day shipping puts it getting there in about a week. Not bad, but not that good either.

Ease to order: 7/10; Mildly time consuming since you have to go to a new page for each sticker type but overall easy to use.

Other Comments: They have a glow in the dark option that I haven’t tried but it looks super cool!

Sticker Ninja

Cost: 5/10, you have to buy a large amount of stickers before the price starts to go down and a sample pack is $20 for 10 regular stickers or 5 special ones. Their pricing is more than most alternatives.

Quality: TBD

Speed: 3/10, their processing time is 7-10 business days so it will be about 2 weeks before your stickers even ship out. Add shipping time onto that and you’re looking at about 3 weeks. They do give you options to get faster processing, for an additional fee, from $5-$25.

Ease to order: 8/10, they have a lot of options on their site (which is a good thing) but they each have their own like ordering portal so it gets a wee bit fuddled but over all an easy experience.
